Capbreton Harbour

Cap Breton France

Project

Renovation and replacement of the floating docks at the Capbreton Port

The Capbreton Port offers moorage for both pleasure-craft boaters as well as for fishing boats. The marina has 950 slips for boats up to 23 metres in length. The high number of visitors to the marina requires the facilities be capable of withstanding not only the volume of people, but also strong Atlantic weather patterns.

Technical traits

For all the 950 slips, access to water and electricity service is guaranteed. There is also an automated access gate at the entrance of each dock to ensures the safety of boaters.

The polypropylene (Ecostyle) decking is non-slip, UV-resistant and is particularly easy to maintain due to its tile system of assembly which allows for easy access to mechanical and electrical services.

Poralu Marine also built a dedicated landing dock:

  • At the public reception area that allows the transport of passengers
  • At the National Sea Rescue Society, SNSM. The Ecostyle decking is grey in colour on the SNSM dock, in order to differentiate the area and also making it more visible to rescuers.

A floating ramp-type dock has been installed for jet-ski mooring.

Services

Construction of all the floating docks of the marina.
