Old Port of Marseille

Marseille France

Project

Redevelopment and replacement of the marina facilities of the Old Port of Marseille.

As part of the overall redevelopment plan for the Old Port of Marseille, the city hired world-renowned architect Norman Foster to redesign this important marine urban space. Poralu Marine shared in the vision for the space and created continuity from the quay to the marina and designed the new floating structures on the water.

Technical traits

As an important public asset, it was critical to design, manufacture and install marine infrastructure that would seamlessly integrate with the touristic and aesthetic standards of the picturesque community in the heart of the City Centre.

The two landings of the well-known ferryboat at each end of the Port were also built.

Services

Manufacturing of all the docks on the marina.
